your question about is Ryan Miller ready to carry a team in the playoffs is silly. He carried the Sabres to back to back Eastern Conference Finals and carried helpless teams to the playoffs. He's def ready, is the St. Louis offense ready to put up more than a goal a game like this last stretch?

That 2007 Sabres team was loaded at forward. I think you are confusing that 2007 Sabres team with the 1998 & 1999 Sabres teams, that went far, mainly because Hasek had two of the best seasons a goalie has ever had in the NHL.

I think it is OK to question if a goalie is ready when he puts up a sub .900 save% over a few games heading into the playoffs.

The 2006 team came out of no where and Miller had a lot to do with it

Fair enough, forgot they went to the conference finals, in back to back seasons.

I stand corrected, sir.

Even that 2006 team was one of the highest goal scoring teams in the league, however.

Hypothetically:

NY - W
NY - L
PHI - W
PHI - W
NY - L
PHI - W
NY - L

That's winning 1 at NY and all 3 in PHI, resulting in 4-3 win in series....

Devils Fan: absolutely no love for either of these teams. Hope the Flyers take it as they are"less evil" in my book, but think the Rangers win in 6. I hope I'm wrong!

Tarasenko is back! Really good news for the blues. He looks well rested thanks to his injury. Oshie could be back by game 2. I like our chances. LGB!

I feel very strongly that EK is a poor hockey thinker and analyst. Constantly rehashed cliche headlines without substance. Making statements about the Blackhawks defensive propensities while illustrating them against teams "like the blues..." How about comparing them to the Blues? A team who's forecheck has been frustrated against the Hawks all year, particularly the last three games. The Blues are better this year than they've been in over a decade, congratulations to the River Scum... I can't wait to see the "sorta disappointed Cardinals fans" hanging up a sweater that looks like a fruity track suit and taunting the Cubs because there is so little spirit in that fanbase and it basically serves as an off season rivalry proxy for baseball fans.

You really know how to keep it classy! Most hardcore hockey fans in stl could care less about the Cardinals. I know I don't!

so they'd just play game 7 for the hell of it in your scenario?

Yes

My point was that they don't need to win 2 out of 4 games in NY
